1. Street Teens
For unhoused former foster youth ages between the ages of 12-21, see https://streetteens.org/.
Street Teens is dedicated to assisting homeless, abandoned, and foster and other vulnerable youth in the Las Vegas Valley. Their primary goal is to meet the needs of youth by providing essential services in an inclusive and caring environment. They operate a Drop-In Center with open access to resources including showers, laundry, food, clothes, and computer access. Hours are Monday through Saturday from 2 pm to 8 pm at their location, which is 5599 S. Pecos Road, Las Vegas NV 89120. Phone: (702) 215-4171.
2. Living Grace Homes
For those who are homeless and pregnant or newly parenting between the ages of 14 and 24, see https://www.livinggracehomes.org/. Living Grace Homes offers a free residential program designed to support young mothers in acquiring the skills necessary to succeed. Programs include parenting courses, as well as information on empowerment, financial literacy, health & nutrition, and workforce readiness. Phone: (702) 212-6472.
3. Juvenile Justice Impact
The mission of Juvenile Justice Impact is to bring awareness to the juvenile justice system, prevent local youth from entering the juvenile system, and break the cycle of incarceration and its adverse effects on families and communities. American Access Institute’s founder and Juvenile Justice Impact’s founder Susan Feneck are friends and colleagues united in their concern for teenagers. Learn more about JJI at: https://juvenilejusticeimpact.org/.
4. Awareness is Prevention
Human trafficking is an unfortunate outcome for too many foster youth who run away. Human Trafficking is big business, it generates $40 billion dollars a year. The mission of AIP is to educate the public on all forms of human trafficking, including sex trafficking and employment trafficking. Visit their website at https://aipnv.org/ and see the disturbing data of how this horrific trend is impacting teens across the U.S. here: https://traffickinginstitute.org/federal-human-trafficking-report/.

With your gift to American Access Institute, you become part of the solution so foster youth have a better shot at avoiding jail, trafficking, having to perform sex work, dealing with unwanted pregnancy, facing violence, and other undesirable outcome. Thank you!
