Moments That Mattered: 2025 AAI Sunset Soirée Memories

AAI's 2025 Sunset Soirée pulsed with music, motion, and meaning. Guests celebrated community, compassion, and the shared belief that every young person deserves a chance to build a future filled with dignity and direction.

Friends in the Anthem Country Club Community came together to donate and support our programming on this special night. Pictured: Patti Shovlin, Cheryll Acevedo, Jane Jensen Saint, Bernadine Murphy, and Roni Noble. That’s the Las Vegas Strip glowing in the background.

Much appreciation to our talented Chef, David Wyland, for volunteering his catering services to support the cause. He runs his own catering company in addition to being a recent Employee of the Month at the club.

We extend heartfelt thanks to the radiant Catherine Roy-Lund and her generous husband, Eric Lund, for welcoming guests into their stunning home as our gracious hosts. The two lit up the dance floor—yes, that’s a Fedora on his head—channeling unmistakable Frank Sinatra flair throughout the evening.

Gwen McDonald, Executive Director of Living Grace Homes, spoke with breakout session attendees about how AAI helps pregnant teens in their program build confidence, skills, and pathways toward career readiness.

Dr. Kathleen Mojas shares her experience growing up in a family where her parents brought foster children into their home, and how that inspired her to become a monthly donor.

Dr. Pamela Donnelly offers a hug of appreciation to Bernadine Murphy, who supported AAI for the past year entirely pro bono as its Communications Director.

Teak and Bernadine Murphy brought both heart and humor to the celebration. Bernadine received AAI’s Volunteer of the Year award in recognition of the hundreds of hours she devoted to building and managing our Instagram and LinkedIn presence. Her contagious enthusiasm has fueled extraordinary growth—proof that empathy can work just as powerfully in high heels as in work boots.

AAI’s Extra Mile Award Recipient, Jane Jensen Saint, enjoying some swing dancing with her husband, James. As our Executive Director, Jane has dedicated many hours above and beyond her paid position with the organization. Her heart for vulnerable youth shines through in all she does.
